The wonderful "Legacies" show at the Historic Northampton Museum just came down, and I'd like to thank executive director Kerry Buckley for facilitating the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I was very moved to be able to show again with my mother, Prilla Smith Brackett, and also with my great-great-grandfather and fellow painter, Charles C. Burleigh Jr.!
The summer ahead holds much needed time in the studio for me, with further exploration and execution of maturing ideas. I look forward to implementing new, learned techniques (such as using maquettes - or scale models - like the one pictured) to bring these further animal images into being. I'll keep you informed! |
